SPINOR
SPINOR is an arcade game about timing and reflexes. It was made in 7 days for the Very Serious Juniper Dev Game Jam.
You control the Spinor, a spaceship that endlessly rotates on its axis. You can't stop it, but you can work with it.
E fires a laser in whatever direction the Spinor is currently facing. Any other key freezes the Spinor in place for a split second.
Matchpoints (octahedrons) come flying straight at you. Freeze at the exact right moment, when your angle and position overlap with one, and you score. Miss, and you lose a life.
Enemies (also octahedrons) spawn on the side lanes and cut toward you as they get close. Shoot them for 100 points, or freeze-match them for 50, but that comes with a longer cooldown before you can freeze again.
Every 5 kills, the Wheel spins. Could be extra lives, a score multiplier, enemies spawning at once, or just a random color swap. Good luck.
IF YOU ARE PLAYING THE WEB VERSION, MAKE SURE TO DISABLE THE OPTION "Lock/hide mouse pointer"
Engine, game logic, models and sounds all made from scratch.
(Tbh the game is pretty easy and sucks, I just couldn't find a good idea and still wanted to submit smth so I went with this)
